Built by the Community, For the Community
The Blue Sky Ecosystem Projects CIC is built on the belief that real change begins with listening. While core organizational roles are structured, we believe everyone has a vital voice and the opportunity to become actively involved in driving meaningful community change—starting locally in Cumbria, with a long-term vision to reach globally.
A core part of this journey involves the profound, often difficult step of forgiving ourselves and others, laying the foundation for true healing and progress. We are intentionally starting small to ensure we maintain integrity and never promise more than we can deliver. We are already exploring many different avenues of support and technology, and we warmly welcome new ideas from individuals, partners, and community members who share our vision.
Moving away from textbook theories, our team and supporters bring real-world survival across life's most painful realities, including:
- Domestic Abuse: Supporting both Victim Recovery and Perpetrator Accountability
- Grief, Loss, and Deep Trauma Processing
- Sexual Abuse Survivorship & Healing
- Severe Mental Health Crises & Institutionalization Navigation
- Self-Harm and Substance Misuse Recovery
* Please note: This list is not exhaustive as we continuously expand our reach.
Our Commitment & Journey: We understand that building a sustainable movement takes time. We aim to cover anyone who suffers; if we cannot immediately provide direct support, individuals will be signposted as we grow. We do not hold external accountability—our mission is to provide true, authentic lived experience from people who have travelled many different paths.
Our Reach: Local Roots, Global Connection
While our physical work starts on the ground in Cumbria, technology allows our lived-experience resources to reach individuals wherever they are:
By leveraging digital accessibility, we aim to deliver meaningful self-guided support to anyone, anywhere—reaching people both digitally through mobile access and, in time, in person through expanding community networks.
Accessible Support for Everyone
We are creating a centralized, accessible hub to ensure no individual is ever locked out of support due to financial barriers or life circumstances:
Self-Guided Recovery Tools
Accessible, step-by-step materials for emotional rebuilding. These guided paths embrace forgiveness of self and others to process internal trauma for true, lasting recovery.
New Tech Ecosystem
Navigating our way around all possibilities to bring everything into one unified place by utilizing new technology.
Centralized Signposting
If someone needs support outside our platform, we directly signpost them to trusted external partners and specialist services.
Supporting Frontline Services
To keep our resources free and open to all, we operate a flexible, 100% transparent community funding model. Donors have complete choice over where their support goes:
1. Support Charities
Direct contributions to chosen frontline partner charities specializing in grief, domestic abuse, mental health, and addiction.
2. Support Us
Funding to support digital infrastructure, resource development, and the ongoing expansion of our lived-experience platform.
3. Split Support
Divide contributions between frontline partner charities and the ongoing operational work of The Blue Sky Ecosystem Projects CIC.
A Collective Work in Progress
Small communities making small, honest decisions together create giant leaps. Our goal is starting small yet slowly building up to be there for everyone.
We warmly welcome anyone who has a voice, an idea, or the desire to come on board as we start out. We are actively taking note of new perspectives because your voice is incredibly important to us during this initial build phase.
Real people changing lives.
